Terminals: T1, T2 and Domestic
Antalya Airport has two international terminals about 3 km apart. Terminal 1 serves most scheduled carriers (Turkish Airlines international, Lufthansa, LOT); Terminal 2 handles most charters and leisure airlines (SunExpress, Corendon, AJet international, Pegasus international). The Domestic Terminal adjoins T1. Your booking confirmation tells the driver which terminal — just share the flight number.
Passport control and how long it takes
Summer Saturday peak (10:00–14:00 and 22:00–02:00) means 20–40 minutes at passport control in T2. E-gates are available for Turkish citizens only. Baggage usually appears by the time you clear the queue.
SIM cards: buy the e-SIM before you fly
Airport counters (Turkcell, Vodafone) charge €25–€35 for a tourist package. An e-SIM bought online before departure costs €8–€15 for 10–20 GB. If you need a physical SIM, buy it in the city the next day for roughly half the airport price.
Money: skip the arrivals exchange
The arrival-hall exchange desks run 8–12% below the interbank rate. You do not need lira on arrival if you pre-booked a transfer (pay in EUR or by card). For pocket money, any yellow Ziraat/VakıfBank ATM in the city gives near-market rates — decline the ATM's own "conversion offer" and let your bank convert.
Finding your driver
Pre-booked drivers wait at the arrivals exit — Door 4 at Terminal 1, the central exit at Terminal 2 — holding a tablet or sign with your name. You will have the driver's name, phone and plate on WhatsApp before landing. Average time from baggage claim to car: 4 minutes. If your flight diverts or delays, the driver tracks it automatically; free waiting covers the first 60 minutes after landing.
Last checks before you leave the terminal
- Ignore anyone inside the hall offering "taxi? transfer?" — legitimate drivers are not allowed to solicit.
- Antalya tap water is not for drinking; grab a bottle from the Migros in arrivals (5× cheaper than the kiosks).
- Keep your baggage tags until you exit — random checks happen at the door in summer.
