Antalya Airport to City Center: Tram, Bus, Taxi or Transfer? (2026 Comparison)

The four options at a glance

• AntRay tram (T1): ~€1 per person, 40–50 minutes to Kalekapısı, runs 06:00–23:30, no luggage racks.
• Public bus (600/800): ~€1.5, 45–60 minutes, needs an AntalyaKart top-up card, crowded in summer.
• Airport taxi: €25–€38 by meter (50% more at night), 20–25 minutes, immediate but unpredictable.
• Pre-booked private transfer: €20 fixed, 20 minutes, driver waits with a name sign, luggage and child seats included.

Take the tram if…

You travel light (one carry-on), land in daytime, and your hotel sits near a T1 stop (Kalekapısı, İsmetpaşa, Muratpaşa). Buy an AntalyaKart at the machine near the airport tram stop — cash is not accepted on board.

Take the bus if…

You are heading to the otogar (main bus terminal) to continue to another city. Bus 800 links AYT to the terminal directly. Not recommended with more than one suitcase in July–August.

Take a metered taxi if…

You land mid-day, are going somewhere within 10 km, and don't mind the fare varying with traffic. Confirm the meter is running from "1" (day tariff) — a common trick is starting it on night tariff.

Pre-book a transfer if…

You arrive at night, travel with family or luggage, or simply want the price locked before you fly. At €20 fixed to any city-centre address, the private transfer is cheaper than the taxi meter in almost every real scenario — and you skip the queue entirely.

Where exactly is "city centre"?

Most visitors mean Kaleiçi (Old Town), the marina, or the Konyaaltı beachfront. Note that Kaleiçi is a restricted traffic zone: transfers drop you at the closest gate (Hadrian's Gate or the clock tower), 2–3 minutes on foot from most boutique hotels.
