The route
From AYT the D400 hugs the Mediterranean for 200 km to Kaş (about 3 hours) and 210 km to Kalkan (3h 15m). After Kemer the road narrows into mountain switchbacks with sea views the whole way — spectacular as a passenger, exhausting as a driver after a 4-hour flight.
Fixed transfer prices (2026)
- AYT → Kaş: €180 (sedan/Vito, up to 6 passengers)
- AYT → Kalkan: €190
- AYT → Olympos/Çıralı (on the way): €85–€90
- AYT → Adrasan: €90
Per-person on a full Vito, Kaş works out at €30 a head — less than two seats on the twice-daily intercity bus, without the otogar changeover.
Stops worth asking for
A private transfer can pause where buses cannot. The three best breaks: Phaselis ruins (ancient harbour in a pine bay, 45 min), Olympos / Çıralı beach (30 min swim stop), and the Kaputaş beach viewpoint between Kaş and Kalkan — the turquoise cove photo on every Turkey poster. Tell the driver in advance; stops up to 30 minutes are free on long routes.
Why not rent a car?
One-way rentals AYT → Kaş carry a €60–€100 drop fee, parking in Kaş old town is close to impossible in season, and the switchback section demands full attention at night. Unless you plan day trips every day, a transfer both ways plus local taxis is cheaper and infinitely calmer.
Night arrivals
The route is fully driveable at night and our drivers run it daily, but if you land after 23:00 consider an overnight in Antalya and a morning departure — you will actually see the coastline you are paying to drive along.
